Hi Diego Nello,

great story, and worthy of more research!

We can see that from the preserved tanks in Italy, apart from a STUG or two all are allied, so the tanks left to find will mainly be German. Hatred of the Nazi/Fascist period will mean a lot will have been scrapped. We can see that the war is of very specialized interest historically compared to say the Medici period. Being diplomatic, most people wanted to delete it's memory from the history books.

But I am convinced by the evidence of my research that a lot where buried or encased in concrete where they died. Any serious person from the Rimini/San Marino area is of interest to me. I will be returning to the area later this summer for more field work. I have strong evidence of 2 separate sites with some documentation.

I just want to make progress and complete the file. If it's there we find it, if not we close the case and look else where.

The collecting of witness accounts before the older generation are gone is important, as well as getting the permission to search on the land. The final obstacle is the state/government depending on the laws and where it is found.

A+
